contrast

We had a snowstorm in the night. After experiencing spring-like 70 degree weather, it feels rather odd-no green, no gold. I notice that the snow-white accentuates every angle on the mountain range. How can white make a statement like that? I think it must be all about the way it makes the dark edges “show up”-the contrast. Seriously, yesterday you wouldn’t have said there was that much movement and angles of jutting this way and that. And yet today, it’s perfectly clear that there was more than the eye could see.

Contrasts do that for us.

Contrasts highlight the real, not just the perceived.

High’s and low’s sketch the outline of life, making everything clearer and bolder, making the canvas ready for the addition of color.
